Water is free but we have to pay for our trash

We see the beautiful blue sky for the first time today. The weather has been cloaked in clouds since the day we arrived. It has been between 0 to 8 degrees. But Azan says it is not winter yet.

We only took our bath once a day. So we conserve a lot of water. Btw water here is free but we have to buy our own plastic bags. There is no such thing as free shopping bags like we get at supermarkets in Malaysia. Cos plastics and papers are recyclebles they are collected free of charge but any other trash will have to be paid before they are collected.

But we have been eating a lot and so we have to pay for whatever remnants that we throw inside our trash bin. I think this is one way we can teach people not to waste food items, like we do in Malaysia.

Since Azan only attend classes on bones and kidney which is only for an hour or two a day we have a lot of free time together. Bones and kidney has been his weakest subjects and I hope he will perform better this time arround. Please let us all pray for his success.

I am quite happy here, but of course I miss all my other children too.
