Today is my youngest son's birthday. I love him very much and would have loved to celebrate his birthday with the other
It coincided with the school holidays, so everybody seemed to have left town leaving only the two of us. Well this is life. No matter how many children you have, you will end up alone again. They will eventually leave you anyway, so what the heck, life will go on.

My youngest son just came back home from Ireland last week, where he tried to do his medical degree, but unfortunately after four years of struggles, he decided that the course is not to his liking and is too tough for him.
He felt that he had made a very big mistake in going there and should have taken other subjects instead. He is very misserable and regret f
My son had been a straight "A" student throughout all his school life and was always at the top of the class wherever he went. But when he went to Ireland, it was a different story. He had to re-sit for a few papers at every semester. This made him very frustrated and began to loose focus.
He is now back at home with me and we had an open discussion. He had made up his mind that he will not continue with his studies in medicine and wanted to continue his studies in a local university. He wanted to take up a Bachelor of Arts degree instead.
I think he is making sense, since he loves to read novels and also excels in English Literature, Bahasa Malaysia and Mathematics when he was in secondary schools. He could very well join the local university, and also be closer to me.
As for the 4 years of his life spent in Ireland, which he thinks he had wasted, I am thinking othrwise.
I think he did not a mistake at all but had made a wrong judgement on his career prospectus. I am sure what he had learnt in the Ireland will come in handy later in life. It is knowledge and experience which enriches a person. So I am giving him full support if he is really serious about persuing an Art degree.
"Remember this, my dearest son, in this life, there is always the ups and down. This shows that God loves you and He wants you to remember Him in times of Happiness and Sadness. So pray to Him and may you be guided to the right path always".
Mummy Loves You!!
